No RSVPs today...again! I bet it's because I'm really excited to break 100 guests. Or the mailman hates me.
I finally got the pins in today for the boutonnieres so I'm going to hot glue them on in a couple minutes. Simple pinning on the wedding day!
The red fans came in today! They're awesome! I just have to stamp them now.
AND I got my Sweet Potato Queens book (I LOVE them!!) for the honeymoon! I'm going to have to pack it so I don't start reading it now!
Last, I also made a photobook the other day of shower pictures! I'm going to buy it with my LivingSocial deal this weekend after we get paid!

Another One Bites the Dust
And I have OFFICIALLY finished the boutonnieres!! I bought new beads for Matt's today after work and came home and got to work. (Okay so it took less than 10 minutes, but whatever.) I love the way it came out, especially the ribbon! Take a look!
And here are the beads that I bought since the ones that I ordered were too small.

Only One Left
I have done ALL but Matt's boutonniere! I got the beads in today and they are smaller than I thought. I used two on each stem for the groomsmen, but I want Matt's to stand out, so I'm buying new beads tomorrow (that I also need for the bouquets). I'm super excited that I'm almost done with guys' stuff, but nervous about the bouquets since they'll take a lot longer. (I may end up doing smaller bouquets, maybe like my tossing one, for the junior bridesmaids.)

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
I made my tossing bouquet tonight! (Yes, all in one night!) I followed the same basic steps for the regular bouquets, with the exception of twisting about half of each stem. I used 50 stems in three different size white pearls, 10mm black pearls, and clear beads. I tied it with the same ribbon I'm using to decorate the program baskets.

And In Second Place...
I finished two more boutonnieres! These are for our two ushers and they are simply black and white pearls, six of each. I tied it with sheer black ribbon (I bought solid black and when I opened it, I realized it was velour and looked ridiculous) and tied the same silver ribbon in a bow around the top of the stems. I'm really happy with how these are coming out!
Oh! I also found a website that makes really cute pearl and crystal tossing bouquets, but they are $40 (for something I'll use for 2 minutes and then give away). So instead I'm going to make my own! There's a picture below the boutonnieres.

Pretty In Pink
I finished my first boutonniere and my flower girl's pomander! I found a cute pink and white pearl and glass bead mixture at Walmart that I used for both. I used the pink ribbon from the ring bearer's boutonniere and some of the ribbon for Matt's to add streamers to the bottom of the pomander. Here are the finished products!

I have finished the pearl stems for the boutonnieres! The previous post has a picture of Matt's boutonniere and here are the rest (minus the ring bearer's).
I have also decided to buy black pearls and use them for the two ushers' boutonnieres instead of the black beads. This will separate them from the groomsmen, but still stay within the theme. So excited!

For My Love
I bought more silver wire today at Walmart (24 gauge this time) and started on Matt's boutonniere. I've decided to use 20 pearls for his, 15 for the best man and dads, 12 for the groomsmen, 10 for the ushers, and 8 for the ring bearer. As for the beads; 10 for Matt, 8 for the best man and dads, and 6 for the groomsmen, 5 for the ushers, and 4 for the ring bearer. I'll be sure to post pictures of the bead colors when they come in and I'll keep updating as I work on the bouquets and boutonnieres!

In the Valley
Matt and I went to the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury today to meet with a potential videographer. While there, we ran a couple of other errands (this shopping center has everything).
First, we met Jesse of SureShot Videography with the hopes of hiring him for the wedding. Matt and I really only want the ceremony and important parts of the reception taped. We don't need three hours of dancing and honestly can't afford it. We have decided that we'd love to have Jesse as our videographer especially since our package will only cost $600!
Second, we stopped in Joseph A. Bank to see if the colors of the vests we wanted matched the colors of the dresses I had picked. They did! So now we are OFFICIALLY using them for the men's formal wear!
Third, I dragged Matt into Claire's to look at a pair of earrings that I had seen online. They are small hoops with rhinestones and are exactly what I wanted for the wedding. They were only $10 (they were one pair in a set of three) and will be perfect!
And last, we picked up some of the stuff from Michael's for the pearl bouquets and boutonierres. (I got the silver wire, silver, black, and pink ribbon.)

Decisions, Decisions
Speaking of them, Matt and I have finalized some things for the wedding. (Of course this means that I have made other decisions that I have to make.) However, here is what we have decided:
Flowers
The bouquets and boutonnieres will be made out of pearls instead of doing real flowers. They are absolutely beautiful and we'll be able to save them without adding an extra cost. Here's a link on how to make them (it's super easy)!
For our mothers' corsages, we're going to hopefully use scraps from their dresses and have them made by this seller on Etsy. (If we can't use the scraps, we'll have them made with new material in a color that matches the dresses.)
