Friday

1 day

It's tomorrow!

As for today, the girls and I have nail appointments at 2 (Jess, Shannon, Cris, and I at 1 for pedicures) at Metro Nails. We're going to go to the hotel and check in after that and get ready for the rehearsal at 4 30 at the chapel. After that we're going to dinner at Waterplace Restaurant at 6. Afterwards, we're going to McCormick & Schmidt's for drinks, which is in the bottom of the Biltmore.

However, the first thing that I need to do is get new shoes for Hannah since her feet grow at the rate of bamboo.

Jess, Cris, and I did the out of town bags this morning as well as the escort cards! We are all set for tomorrow!!

Thursday

2 days

I have been on my feet today since 6 30 this morning! I worked from 7 to 3 30 today and then went immediately to pick up Cris from the bus station. We came back to the apartment and packed up most of the boxes for the reception. Cris, Jess, and I went to the Biltmore and delivered the boxes. We then went to pick up my dress, which I tried on again and it fits perfectly! After that we went to get pedicures, but had to schedule them for tomorrow before our manicures. Then we went to Walmart and got the rest of the supplies for the escort cards, out of town bags, and honeymoon. We picked up Matt and went to dinner at Newport Creamery and we JUST got back.

However, I am SO excited for the next two days...and the honeymoon!!

Wednesday

3 days

Tomorrow is my last day of work before the wedding! I'm working from 7 until 3 and then I'm off to do wedding stuff for the rest of the day! Thankfully, I'll have Jess and Cris here to help me with the rest of my to-do list, including the out of town bags!

We got a gift yesterday from CJ and Andrea that we finally opened today! It's the storage chest for our silverware! (Well, once we get the good silverware, it'll go in there.)

And good news is I'll be able to bring most of the reception stuff to the Biltmore tomorrow!! So excited to get it out of my house!

Silver Rocks

I think I'm going to finally spray paint the rocks for the centerpieces today. It's gorgeous out so I can have all the windows open (and let all the bugs in) which means I won't get high off the fumes.

I switched the bubbles and fan baskets last night and it works much better. The bubbles fit perfectly in the smaller basket and the large one holds all the fans.

Matt and I started signing the letters for the out of town bags last night. He got annoyed so we had to stop , though. He drives me crazy sometimes, but I still love him.

RSVPs today:
-my aunt and uncle, Carol and David
-Matt's uncle and aunt, Russ and Melanie
-my friend from college and Matt's groomsman, Rich
-Matt's mom's friends, Lindy and Nick

I got the package from Oriental Trading in today! It was chock full of goodies! It had the black gift bags, so Matt and I put together the groomsmen gifts and the gifts for our parents. It also had the bags for the kids which are HUGE and wicked cute! The sunglasses for the wedding party and the bags for the cookies in the out of town bags were also included. Most important, though, were the favor boxes! They're the perfect size and I'm excited to start them soon!

Matt and I picked up the package from the UPS center today, too, which was from Crate & Barrel. It's the I Spy holders, which are perfect!

I got an email today that the clutches for our moms were shipped today! I can't wait to see what they look like!

Yesterday I ordered the jewelry for our readers, greeters, and gift bearers. That is OFFICIALLY the end of buying gifts! Now I'm just waiting on Matt's gift to come in! I'm so excited about it!

Buy, Buy, Buy!

RSVPs (from yesterday): only one and it was a decline from Matt's uncle and aunt from Kentucky. They are going to be out of the country on June 16!

I ordered several things from Oriental Trading last night, totaling $73 (with free shipping). I got the small black gift bags for the groomsmen's gifts, the totes for the kids' bags, sunglasses for the wedding party (for photos), the cellophane cookie bags for the out of town bags, and, most importantly, the boxes for the M&M favors! It was one of the larger purchases I had to make, so I'm glad it's out of the way.

I also ordered another dress from Charlotte Russe for the honeymoon. I HAD to have it since it's ORANGE! Here's a picture:

I'm also ordering little place card holders for the I Spy cards for the wedding. They're from Crate and Barrel and they went on sale! Perfect!

I finally found some argyle socks for Cole! I had bought all the groomsmen a pair in their color from Express and he's too small for theirs. I ended up finding a pair from Brooks Brothers (didn't know they even had a kids section) for $12. They've got just a little pink, so they aren't too much either.

AND I'm ordering the cufflinks for the two readers, Greg and CJ. I found a nice pair on Amazon that are very versatile. Here's a picture:

And I'm ordering the new cufflinks for Matt that I found a couple posts ago!

WE GOT OUR FIRST RSVP BACK! Of course, it's from my parents and siblings, but it was SO exciting seeing the envelope in the mailbox!

I printed the letters for the out of town bags at work today. I needed 40 of them and my printer needs more black ink, so I had to do it at work. They have an industrial copier, so it was like nothing anyway. I'm going to start gluing them on tonight! Here's a picture of the letter:

I'm really getting annoyed that the rest of the bridesmaids' dresses haven't come in yet. I want to be able to pick them up before the shower so I can bring them home with me. I'm hoping for a call from them soon!

Quickie

Just a quick post on the first day of March (just a little over three months to go). I sent out the invitations yesterday after I left work, so they got to the post office about 6. A couple coworkers that live in the area got them today! I was seriously amazed at how fast they got out! So excited!

Another small tidbit: out of 22 diy projects I have only 7 to finish (not including the newsletters which are spaced out). A small detailed list:
1. bouquets which I have only Cristina's to finish as soon as the brooch comes in
2. ceremony programs which I need to buy fans for and then attach those and the bubbles to each
3. out of town bags which will be done closer to the wedding
4. escort card displays which will be finished once I get RSVPs back and can make escort cards for them
5. menus (for the tables) that I only need the menu insert for
6. centerpieces which will also be done closer to the wedding
7. favors which are another project to be done closer to the wedding

Chapel of Love

139 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (62/130 done)

Today Matt and I met with the wedding consultant for the chapel and went over the ceremony basics. We decided on a couple things such as sitting for the ceremony (versus kneeling), who's walking down the aisle and in what order, as well as other small details. We went through a bunch of old programs that Pat had and took a few as inspiration. We finished the programs on Vistaprint once we got home and I'm ordering them right now! Here are what they'll look like:

After we met with Pat, we went to the Priory and met with Father Al, our officiant. We talked for a little while, got his address, gave him the readings we decided on, and talked about our Pre-Cana in February. (Matt registered us for a two-day one on the 10th and 11th. Hopefully it'll be better having it split like that.)

We stopped at Michael's to get more Glue Dots for the pocketfolds as well as more bags for the welcome bags. I also found some really cute ribbon for the invitations since I knew I wouldn't have enough for those as well as the programs. It's white with light blue writing that says "Eat, Drink, & Be Married".

And now Matt and I are off to bed!

Pumped Up Kicks

164 days

I got the shoes that I ordered from Shoedazzle in today! They were part of the 50% Holiday Shop they had right before Christmas. Called Zafira, they are incredibly pumped up. I plan on wearing them for the rehearsal dinner and maybe the bachelorette, depending on what we're doing!

I FINALLY got my newsletters from Staples! They came out beautifully again and I'm going to put it in my scrapbook as soon as I'm done with this post.

I also got some of the mini Playdohs that we're putting in the out of town bags from Walmart! It's small, but it's one less thing to get!

Matt and I are off to the PC vs. Cuse game in a little while! GO FRIARS!

Mixed Bag

I got (yet another) box of stuff from Vistaprint today! In it were the rest of the stickers for the menus, envelope seals, the rest of the accomodation cards, my tote for the honeymoon (and after), and the brochures for the out-of-town bags. (It also had the calendar that I made for my parents for Christmas.) I'm really excited because now I can make the rest of the menus (except for the actual menu)!

I love the brochures so I'm posting them here.

Also, the guestbook that I created on Snapfish shipped today! I can't wait to get it!!

Hey Mr. Postman

I got a package on Monday, yesterday, and today that all had something for the wedding! Monday I got the last of my bridesmaids' clutches in...finally! It was shipped from the same company as the blue one for Matt's sister so it came from Hong Kong. It's for my sister, Hannah, and is purple and quite simple (she's not a girly girl, so it needed to lack the frills of the others).
Yesterday I got the bags from Current Catalog that I had ordered for our welcome bags for out-of-town guests! They're simple, in various colors of the rainbow, but we'll be glueing our welcome letter to the front of them.
And today I got my shoes for the ceremony! I had found a pair in the store that I really liked but they were $75. These I found on AMI for only $15 and the same basic style (peeptoe pumps) as the originals. They're really cute and, since they're only for the ceremony and pictures, I'm happy that I saved money on them.
