Pearlicious

146 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (62/130 done)
                                   bouquet pearls (8/8 done)

I finished the pearls for the Cristina's bouquet - the LAST one! I'm so happy to have that part all done, since the brooches are so much easier and fewer! I can't believe that I put it off for months and it only took me four days to finish. I'm ridiculous.

I also finished the RSVPs for the invitations that I have put together so far. (I had run out the other day and had to wait until the rest came in.)

And now onto asking the groomsmen to get measured for their tuxes.

Penguin Suits

154 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (51/130 done)

Matt and I were busy wedding bees today! We had two different wedding appointments that we went to.

First we went to the chapel to meet with the musical coordinator (who's also the organist) and the vocalist. We decided on the hymns, psalms, and music that would be played during the ceremony. We were also able to get a violinist (although he wasn't there) which I've always wanted! The vocalist has an amazing voice and Sherry, the organist, was great as well! Matt and I are really happy with them and excited to have one more thing checked off our to-do list!

Later we went to Joseph A. Bank to register our wedding and pick out the tuxes that the guys will be wearing for the wedding. We had already built a tux online, so it was just making sure they had all the pieces and registering the wedding and the guys. Now we'll just be sending out an email for them to get measured (at any Joseph A. Bank store) by May! Here are the tuxes that we'll be getting:

Christmas Come Again!

I just got the mail and I had THREE new packages that were all wedding-related! (I also got the Sping/Summer 2012 Lia Sophia catalog and there is some amazing new jewelry in it!)

The first package was a small one that contained my bottle of OPI's Rainbow Connection that I'm going to use on my toes! I bought OPI's Let Me See the Ring for my fingernails (because it's white and goes so perfectly with the wedding theme) but when I saw the Muppet collection, I knew I had to use Rainbow Connection!

The third package contained my dress that I plan on wearing for my send off (maybe for something else as well like the shower)! It's so simple and sweet!

And, last but not least, the fourth package had the socks that we had ordered for our groomsmen! We had to get alternates than the ones I originally posted because they were sold out so here are the pictures again.

Sock It To Me

195 days

So I really like the look of the argyle socks for the men to wear and Express has just what I need: argyle socks in every color of the rainbow. (I found some for our ring bearer from Ralph Lauren that are more like Matt's since boys' pink argyle socks don't seem to exist anywhere.)

Here are the ones that we picked out, starting with Matt's:

Only One Left

I have done ALL but Matt's boutonniere! I got the beads in today and they are smaller than I thought. I used two on each stem for the groomsmen, but I want Matt's to stand out, so I'm buying new beads tomorrow (that I also need for the bouquets). I'm super excited that I'm almost done with guys' stuff, but nervous about the bouquets since they'll take a lot longer. (I may end up doing smaller bouquets, maybe like my tossing one, for the junior bridesmaids.)
However, here are pictures of the boutonnieres as well as the beads, since I didn't post them before.

Phase One: Complete

I have finished the pearl stems for the boutonnieres! The previous post has a picture of Matt's boutonniere and here are the rest (minus the ring bearer's).

Left to right: Matt, Nick T, Matt's dad, my dad, Ryan, Nick C, Lars, Rich, Devon, Erik, and Chase

I have also decided to buy black pearls and use them for the two ushers' boutonnieres instead of the black beads. This will separate them from the groomsmen, but still stay within the theme. So excited!

For My Love

I bought more silver wire today at Walmart (24 gauge this time) and started on Matt's boutonniere. I've decided to use 20 pearls for his, 15 for the best man and dads, 12 for the groomsmen, 10 for the ushers, and 8 for the ring bearer. As for the beads; 10 for Matt, 8 for the best man and dads, and 6 for the groomsmen, 5 for the ushers, and 4 for the ring bearer. I'll be sure to post pictures of the bead colors when they come in and I'll keep updating as I work on the bouquets and boutonnieres!

In the Valley

Matt and I went to the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury today to meet with a potential videographer. While there, we ran a couple of other errands (this shopping center has everything).
First, we met Jesse of SureShot Videography with the hopes of hiring him for the wedding. Matt and I really only want the ceremony and important parts of the reception taped. We don't need three hours of dancing and honestly can't afford it. We have decided that we'd love to have Jesse as our videographer especially since our package will only cost $600!
Second, we stopped in Joseph A. Bank to see if the colors of the vests we wanted matched the colors of the dresses I had picked. They did! So now we are OFFICIALLY using them for the men's formal wear!
Third, I dragged Matt into Claire's to look at a pair of earrings that I had seen online. They are small hoops with rhinestones and are exactly what I wanted for the wedding. They were only $10 (they were one pair in a set of three) and will be perfect!
And last, we picked up some of the stuff from Michael's for the pearl bouquets and boutonierres. (I got the silver wire, silver, black, and pink ribbon.)

The tuxedos that Matt built online with the correct colored vests and ties. (Jean Yves Tango vests with striped Windsor ties)

 Ferrari Red

 Bali Peach

 Capri Buttercup

 Emerald Green

 Royal Blue

The ushers will wear the same black as our dads, but will have striped ties that we're buying them as thank you gifts.
