Friday

1 day

It's tomorrow!

As for today, the girls and I have nail appointments at 2 (Jess, Shannon, Cris, and I at 1 for pedicures) at Metro Nails. We're going to go to the hotel and check in after that and get ready for the rehearsal at 4 30 at the chapel. After that we're going to dinner at Waterplace Restaurant at 6. Afterwards, we're going to McCormick & Schmidt's for drinks, which is in the bottom of the Biltmore.

However, the first thing that I need to do is get new shoes for Hannah since her feet grow at the rate of bamboo.

Jess, Cris, and I did the out of town bags this morning as well as the escort cards! We are all set for tomorrow!!

Thursday

2 days

I have been on my feet today since 6 30 this morning! I worked from 7 to 3 30 today and then went immediately to pick up Cris from the bus station. We came back to the apartment and packed up most of the boxes for the reception. Cris, Jess, and I went to the Biltmore and delivered the boxes. We then went to pick up my dress, which I tried on again and it fits perfectly! After that we went to get pedicures, but had to schedule them for tomorrow before our manicures. Then we went to Walmart and got the rest of the supplies for the escort cards, out of town bags, and honeymoon. We picked up Matt and went to dinner at Newport Creamery and we JUST got back.

However, I am SO excited for the next two days...and the honeymoon!!

Six Weeks

No RSVPs again today. Sigh...

Six weeks until the wedding! I can't believe it's so close!!

I started "packing" for the honeymoon. In other words, I threw all the dresses and skirts I wouldn't need until then into my suitcase. HA! And, yes, and my bathing suits since I won't be needing those either. It made more room in my closet, though, so I can unsquish all my other clothes and the girls' tote bags.

Matt and I decided last night that we're going to go Monday during my lunch break to get our marriage license! It's one of the last things that we need to do!

I'm going to start working a little more on the escort cards, putting colored stickers on the backs to represent which meals people chose.

I'm also trying to wear my wedding shoes around to break them in, although I may take Jess's advice and freeze them with water inside to stretch them out.

OH! And Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

We got two more RSVPs in today: Aunt Dee and Alicia and Dennis! I love opening the mailbox and finding the envelopes!!

I finished the escort card displays tonight! I decided that theirs labels should be laminated and so I did that. I have to stick the escort cards all over them, but that isn't until the final weeks before the wedding. Here is how the display will look (for individual photos click here to go to our DIY site):

Matt and I have a showing on Thursday for one of the condos we were looking at! I'm really excited to go see it and move (as soon as possible)! I'm just worried about getting approved for financing...

Quickie

Just a quick post on the first day of March (just a little over three months to go). I sent out the invitations yesterday after I left work, so they got to the post office about 6. A couple coworkers that live in the area got them today! I was seriously amazed at how fast they got out! So excited!

Another small tidbit: out of 22 diy projects I have only 7 to finish (not including the newsletters which are spaced out). A small detailed list:
1. bouquets which I have only Cristina's to finish as soon as the brooch comes in
2. ceremony programs which I need to buy fans for and then attach those and the bubbles to each
3. out of town bags which will be done closer to the wedding
4. escort card displays which will be finished once I get RSVPs back and can make escort cards for them
5. menus (for the tables) that I only need the menu insert for
6. centerpieces which will also be done closer to the wedding
7. favors which are another project to be done closer to the wedding

Mark the Occassion

110 days

Currently working on: escort card frames titles

Our mothers' corsages came in today!! They are GORGEOUS! I am so happy that I went with these instead of real flowers: they have meaning, will last forever, and they go so well with the bouquets and boutonnieres! Here is the picture:

I also bought Shannon a new hair accessory for the wedding. The headband that I originally had was for Margaret and so I went to get a flower for Shannon. All the other bridesmaids have flowers and Shannon doesn't like headbands, so it worked out well. Here's the picture:

Matt and I are going to go through the invitations tonight to see which we will hand out to guests. I'm also planning on finishing the escort card frames! And tomorrow is our meeting at the Biltmore! So excited!

Currently working on: escort card pictures

Our mothers' jewelry came in today! It is so pretty and I know that they will love it! Here are pictures of the actual jewelry that took me forever to take:

Matt's mom

I printed the pictures for the escort card frames at work today, so I'm going to work on them and, hopefully, finish them tonight!

Tomorrow is girls' day! Shannon and I are going to my gram's to hang with my mom, gram, aunts, sisters, and Jess to eat and plan the shower!

You Can Quote That

114 days

Currently working on: escort card frames quotes (7/7 done)

I finished the quotes for the escort card frames since the last two frames came in today! I was going to start working on the pictures, but the printer is running low on black ink and so I'll need to print them elsewhere. (I sent it to myself to try and print at work since it's a more industrial model and has a lot more ink.) I think I'm going to do the small signs for the frames tonight, instead.

Matt also got the last addresses that we needed while I got the invitation weighed, so we can send them out! It's going to be about what I thought so we'll have to start buying them now since it'll probably total around $85.

I received the original last brooch for Shannon's bouquet so I'll be able to finish her bouquet later tonight! Another one done! Yay! Here's the brooch that I finally got in:

Program Complete

118 days

Currently working on: ceremony programs (200/200 done)

I finished the putting the programs together for the ceremony! However, I still have to tie the bubbles and fans onto them, but I'm going to wait for two reasons: one, I need to order the fans and, two, I want to have the baskets that I can put them in since everything tied together will take up a lot of room (so it'll probably be closer to the wedding, anyway).

I ordered the other two frames for the escort card displays! I changed the one for Matt's college friends since we added some and the other frame was out of stock anyway. I had to spend a little more money, but I've saved money elsewhere so no big deal.

I changed my shower dress! I ordered a new one from Charlotte Russe for the honeymoon and when it came in, I realized I wanted to use it for the shower! (I can still use it for the honeymoon, but I like it better for the occassion than the ModCloth one.) The best part is it goes with my orange shoes, so I can still wear them! Here's a picture:

I was talking to Jess yesterday a little about the bachelorette and she said that we are definitely doing a little black dress dinner. (It was my idea that I had gotten from Pinterest.) However, I saw another idea that I want to do in that I wear a white dress to stand out! I found one I like from AX Paris, but I'm going to look around a little more before I decide. I'll probably enlist Jess's help in the search.

I Was Framed!

119 days

Currently working on: ceremony programs (100/200 done)

We got the frames that I ordered for the escort cards in! The family one is really nice...and really big. The four that I ordered for the smaller groups are a bit of a pain to get the pictures into, but it'll be okay once they're all done.

I started wrapping ribbons on the menus for the reception. I had bought the ribbon that said "Eat, Drink, & Be Married" and it looks great! I'll post pictures later, once the menus are completely done.

Matt and I are going on the last day of February (the 29th) to finalize the menu and probably discuss other details such as seating and such. I'm really excited!

I have my siblings for the weekend, so that's it for the post for now.

The Final Insert

124 days

Currently working on: ceremony programs (100/200 done)

I forgot to mention the other day, that another person bought a gift off of our registry! We're getting a set of our dishes from Corelle! I'll post a picture of them as well as our flatware!

Corelle Scribble Lines

Gourmet Settings Non Stop

I'm also ordering out menu inserts for the wedding! I'm waiting on the menus for the table because I want to finalize the whole menu with the Biltmore. The inserts, though, will only have the two meal options which we've chosen. I'm so excited that I'll be able to completely finish the invitations! Then we'll buy stamps and send them out!

I forgot to mention that I ordered some of the frames for the escort card display from Walmart! I got the one for the family and the four (they were a package) for Matt and my work friends, my high school friends, and dance friends.

Ring, Ring

128 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (87/130 done)

Our rings came in today! I love mine, but Matt's is really thin so I want to make sure he likes it. If not, we'll exchange it for a different one. I'm glad that we have them in, now I just need to find a place to put them so they don't get lost or I forget. Maybe I'll post it on here so I have somewhere to look back to.

Matt and I started our reception seating the other night. I made a new document in Access to list everyone in our different groups (of where we know them from) and then a table for each table. We went through and did the basic seating which we'll just tweak once we start getting RSVPs back.

Also for the reception, I started putting together the escort cards last night. We're putting a white card for the guest book in the envelope with the actual escort card as well as instructions for it on a sticker on the outside back. I'll print people's names once they have RSVPed yes.

I also got another brooch for Jess's bouquet in today! I only need one more and I can finish her bouquet! Here's the brooch:

I'm going to make some more pocketfolds and then work on the escort cards before Matt gets home.

CL

150 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (62/130 done)
                                 escort card letters (28/28 done)
                                 guestbook envelopes (115/115 done)

I got home to another mni-Christmas! I had three packages waiting for me, two of which were wedding-related.

First, I got the envelopes that we're using for the escort cards and guestbook. (I'm so glad I bought the Tacky Glue the other day!) I have already glued them into the book! I just need to add the labels to the envelopes and it will be completely done!

Second, I got my package from Vistaprint! In it was the I Spy cards, the rest of the RSVP cards (good thing, I just ran out), some more thank yous, and the stamp for the fans. Sadly, I ordered the invitations with a matte cover instead of glossy. They're still nice, but now they're different from the rest. I think that I'm going to use them for the bridal shower, though. I just need to order the fans!

The third package was the new mouse I ordered for our laptop. Just in time, too, because the left button was dying quickly on the old one. (It would stick after I let go of it.)

I'm going to really start making myself work on the bouquets so that I'm not rushing at the last minute. I have quite a bit to do on some of them and I'm so unmotivated.

And here are the pictures of the frames that I finished yesterday!

Planning Potpourri II

151 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (62/130 done)
                                   frames (10/10 done)
escort card sign letters (0/28 done)

Okay, here's the pictures that I left out my post yesterday.

The tote bags for the girls:

I finished the Meet the Maids and Moms frames tonight! I had the inserts printed at Walmart and picked them up today. They look really great! I still have to take pictures of them, so I'll post them later.

Matt and I are in the process of picking out which clutches we want to get for our mothers. When I have pictures of them, I'll post those, too.

I went onto ModCloth today and they have the Baklava Beauty dress back in stock! Sadly, they don't have the Bubblegum Poppies dress at all anymore, but that makes my decision a lot easier. (Let's hope they still have the Baklava one this Friday when I'll have the money to buy it.)

I started working on the escort card sign today. I bought the scrapbook paper today at Walmart and printed the letters. I'm going to start cutting everything out and gluing it.

I think that's all I have for now. If not, I'll either add on here or write a new post!

Orange Ya Glad?

156 days

Currently working on: pocketfolds (39/130 done)

I got my wedding shower shoes in today! They are AWESOME! I'm still on the fence about what dress I want to get, though. The Baklava dress (the original one I wanted) is out of stock in my size (they only have 1 small left) and I'm not sure if they'll even get more. The Bubble Poppies dress (the flowered one I also love) is on sale and in two of my favorite colors (orange and pink!). Both dresses go with the shoes, but I'm still not sure. I guess I'll wait until I have the money and see which is in stock.

I also bought white Avery labels for the escort cards from Walmart as well as more black paper for the invitaiton pocketfolds. I'm on a roll with them and they're amazing! Sadly, I still can't bring myself to work on the bouquets. Oh well.

Right This Way

Matt and I have come up with an idea on how to display the escort cards at the reception! I originally wanted to use vintage 1920s frames that would match the decor of the hotel, but that would prove to be WAY out of our budget. So we took that idea and went in a slightly different direction.
We're going to use black collage frames (from Target and Walmart) and put in a mixture of 1920s photos and quotes. Each frame will be for a different grouping of our guests (family, college friends, work friends, etc.) and the quotes and pictures will correspond to theme. We will use glue dots to secure the escort cards (in envelopes) to the frames as well as labeling each with its group and logo.
I think it will make it easier for guests to find their escort card. Plus, we'll get to keep and use the frames after the reception!

Here are the frames:
Both of our families

Bride college friends
Groom college friends

Bride high school, Gap, work, and dance friends

Groom work friends
